One book down, so many more to go...
I stopped reading for a while, but now that I'm getting back into my writing, I really need to read more to keep up with the market.
So this weekend I picked up five new books and I'm going to start going through them.

I just finished "The Garden of Eve" by K.L. Going. It is a haunting tale for independant readers age 8-12. I loved it. It is a wonderful, magical story about dealing with grief. I think this story could really be a powerful influence on any child that has lost someone in their lives. It is uplifting and carries a magical spirit. I like how the author does not burden the reader with religion or logic. The story is whimiscal and light while dealing with such an emotional topic, which I think is a quite a challenge.
I love the hopeful message it carries. The sentiments had me teary eyed at the end.

Now, I am starting on "The Princess and The Unicorn" by Carol Huges. Seems very fitting for me.
Let's see how it goes.
