Any NY peps out there that can build/install computers?
John and I got our second computer and we have all the parts, but they have
to actually be installed/built into the computer itself.
We lack these skills (a friend of ours was suppose to do it, but he got into a car accident and is on bedrest ;_;)
We have another friend who might be able to make it over tonight... but we're still not sure.
We kinda needed it for tomorrow night.

Sooo... can anyone drop by (in case our friend can't make it) and install it say tonight or tomorrow early afternoon? >.>
If so email me at childdoll@gmail.com

What fictional high school—from tv, film, or a book—would you most like to attend? Or would you rather never go near high school again, fictional or otherwise?

Hogwarts!

Your result for The Steampunk Style Test...

The Explorer

39% Elegant, 45% Technological, 30% Historical, 52% Adventurous and 34% Playful!

You are the Explorer, the embodiment of steampunk’s adventuring spirit. For you, clothing should be rugged and reliable, and just as functional as it is attractive. You probably prefer khaki or leather, and your accessories are as likely to include weapons as technological gizmos. You probably wear boots and gloves, and maybe a pith helmet. Most of what you wear is functional, and if you happen to wear goggles people had better believe that you use them. In addition to Victorian exploration gear, your outfit probably includes little knickknacks from your various travels. Above all, you are a charming blend of rugged Victorian daring and exotic curiosity.

My second day back at my old company.
It's soooo nice being back here. The people here are so kind to me and I was given a very warm reception back.
They all told me how happy they are to have me back. Made me very happy.
I am very busy with this new position, but I enjoy the work more and I definately feel more secure and appreciated here.

I got a job! I got a job! I got a job! I got a job! I got a job! I got a job! I got a job! I got a job! I got a job!
...
Yeah, I'm just a little excited ^.^
I called up my old job where I used to work as the receptionist and talked to my old boss about my situation a while back and we've been keeping in contact lately. So she asked me to come in today and she offered me a position there as an admin! W00t!
Now it may only be temporary, because I'm basically filling in for two of the admins who are out on med leave, but one or both of them might be retiring... they're not sure. So I may only actually be working there for 2 months... but it's also possible that if one or both of them retire, that I might be there permanently. I am sooooo happy!

This is a good start to the New Year ^_^

I haven't been doing much sewing lately. Been so busy with everything, but with John's Westeros LARP coming up for ICON, I think I'll take the oppertunity to make a new costume. I wanted a new dress to wear for the Renn Faire this year, and I also wanted to make a literart version of Princess Eilonwy... so I am thinking of just making a medieval costume to work for the Westeros LARP, the Renn Faire, and something that looks like Eilonwy would wear (probably from Castle of Llyr, since she dressed up the most in that book). So I think I'll combine those into one costue to save me time and money.
I would like to have a faerie costume to wear to the Renn Faire this year... especially since I am strongly considering purchasing a pair of Renee Taylor faerie wings... but I'm not sure if I'll get the chance...
The costume I REALLY want to make is a Princess Nuala costume from Hellboy II. I doubt I could get it done by ICON... and because all the makeup involved I highly doubt I would even bother to wear her from ICON... but she might be good for Halloween...after I get back from my honeymoon. I was worried about how expensive the contacts might be, but I found a $70 pair that might work... and I can always scour ICON for more options I guess ^.^

So costume wishlist for 2009:

* Medieval princess gown (from Westeros LARP, Renn Faire & Princess Eilonwy cosplay)
* Faerie costume (for Renn Faire)
* Princess Nuala costume (for Halloween)

Well... I must say 2008 had it's ups and downs... alot of downs for me actually.
But I'm looking foward to a new start. Hopefully I'll get a new job soon. And I have my hands full with my wedding plans... so that is exciting. And tomorrow is my 29th birthday. W00t! Epcot here I come! ^_____^
This is a year of new beginings with me... I will rise from the ashes and shine like a star.

Happy New Year!
